Finals Week

By Jennifer Andrade

Winter break is great. Everyone looks forward to winter break throughout the entire school year. What most people don’t look forward to is finals.

Finals are time consuming, and stressful. Finals can help or worsen your grade. Once your semester grades are in, they’re in and there is no way of changing them. That is, of course, if you are taking an AP course. Finals can make all the difference, so might as well make finals work to your benefit.

You certainly don’t want to blow off finals, but you should not overdo your studying, because the chances are that you already know the material. You don’t, however, want to feel overly confident, and not review your notes.  Skimming through old assignments serve as a refresher, and that is crucial to complex tasks on finals.

Finals are an accumulation of everything that you’ve learned throughout the semester. They are a test to see how much you remember, and how much you actually paid attention. Let’s just get through with Finals and enjoy our last week of school, with benchmarks and all.

On that note, the wait is over, because Winter break is right around the corner, and I know we’re all stoked about being halfway done with the 2013-2014 school year!
